“First undergo the trial by fire, then come near me — you are a devoted wife,” said Ram.


करी परीक्षा कंठ लगाई
सब वानर सेना हर्षायी
राज विभीषण दीना राम

The trial was completed, and Ram embraced Sita; the whole monkey army rejoiced, and Vibhishan was crowned king.


फिर पुष्पक विमान मंगाया
सीता सहित बैठे रघुराया
दंडक वन में उतरे राम
पतित पावन सीता राम…………..(93)

The Pushpak Vimana (celestial chariot) was summoned; Ram, with Sita, boarded it and descended in Dandak forest.


ऋषिवर सुन दर्शन को आये
स्तुति कर वो मन में हर्षाये
तब गंगा तट आये राम
पतित पावन सीता राम……………(94)

Great sages came for his darshan, praising him joyfully in their hearts, and Ram reached the bank of the Ganga.


नंदिग्राम पवनसुत आये
भगत भरत को वचन सुनाये
लंका से आये हैं राम
पतित पावन सीता राम………….(95)

Hanuman (son of the Wind) went to Nandigram and told devoted Bharat the news — “Ram has returned from Lanka.”


कहो विप्र तुम कहाँ से आये
ऐसे मीठे वचन सुनाये
मुझे मिला दो भैया राम
पतित पावन सीता राम………….(96)

“Tell me, Brahmin, where have you come from, speaking such sweet words? Unite me with my brother Ram.”


अवधपुरी रघुनंदन आये
मंदिर मंदिर मंगल छाये
माताओं को किया प्रणाम
पतित पावन सीता राम………….(97)

Raghunandan returned to Ayodhya; every temple was filled with celebration, and he bowed before his mothers.


भाई भरत को गले लगाया
सिंहासन बैठे रघुराया
जग ने कहा है राजा राम
पतित पावन सीता राम……………(98)

He embraced brother Bharat and sat upon the throne — the world declared, “Ram is king!”


सब भूमि विप्रों को दीनी
विप्रों ने यह वापस दे दीनी
हम तो भजन करेंगे राम
पतित पावन सीता राम…………..(99)

All the land was given to the Brahmins, but they returned it, saying, “We shall only devote ourselves to worshipping Ram.”


धोबी ने धोबन धमकाई
रामचंद्र ने यह सुन पायी
वन में सीता भेजी राम
पतित पावन सीता राम……………(100)

A washerman rebuked his wife (casting doubt on Sita’s purity); Ramchandra heard of this and sent Sita to the forest.


वाल्मीकि आश्रम में आयी
लव व कुश हुए दो भाई
धीर वीर ज्ञानी बलवान
पतित पावन सीता राम………….(101)

Sita reached Valmiki’s ashram, where she gave birth to two brothers, Luv and Kush — brave, wise, and mighty.


अश्वमेध कीन्हा रामा
सीता बिन सब सूने कामा
लवकुश वहाँ लियो पहचान
पतित पावन सीता राम………….(102)

Ram performed the Ashwamedha Yagna; without Sita, all celebrations felt empty — there Luv-Kush were recognized as his sons.


सीता राम बिना आकुलाई
भूमि से यह विनय सुनाई
मुझको अब दीजो विश्राम
पतित पावन सीता राम………….(103)

Unable to bear separation from Ram, Sita prayed to the earth, “Grant me rest now.”


सीता भूमि माँ समाई
देख के चिंता की रघुराई
बार बार पछताये राम
पतित पावन सीता राम……………(104)

The earth opened and Sita merged into it; seeing this, Raghurai grieved and repented again and again.


राम राज में सब सुख पावें
प्रेम मगन बोले हरि गुण गावें
दुख क्लेश का रहा न नाम
पतित पावन सीता राम………….(105)

In Ram’s kingdom, everyone lived in happiness; absorbed in love, all sang Hari’s praises — sorrow and suffering had no place.


ग्यारह हजार वर्ष पर्यंता
राज कीन्ह श्री लक्ष्मीकांता
फिर वैकुंठ पधारे राम
पतित पावन सीता राम……………(106)

For eleven thousand years, Shri Lakshmikanta (Ram) ruled the kingdom, then returned to Vaikuntha (the divine abode).


अवधपुरी वैकुंठ सिधाई
नरनारी सब ने गति पायी
शरणागत प्रतिपालक राम
पतित पावन सीता राम……………(107)

All of Ayodhya ascended to Vaikuntha; every man and woman attained liberation — Ram, protector of the surrendered.


सब भक्तों ने लीला गायी
मेरी भी विनय सुनो रघुराई
भूलूँ नहीं तुम्हारा नाम
पतित पावन सीता राम………………(108)

All devotees have sung of this divine play (leela); hear my humble prayer too, O Raghurai — may I never forget your name.
